I love a good sunset, sunrises are good too!
So as I had a lie in and missed what I am told was a lovely sunrise it was only reasonable that I tried to capture the evening’s events! I have a couple of vantage points close to home where I know I can get a good shot, it’s a cold evening, so encased in several layers me and the camera went out.
Now my old compact has always taken a good sunset – or I thought so. Here’s what it captured tonight. It’s taken on the sunset setting, is ok, it’s full of depth and colour definition and I would have been pleased with it in the past.
Here though is a selection of shots taken with the DSLR – in a different league, had a good play with automatic and manual settings, and two different lenses. When they’d been downloaded I could clearly see that what you get is far superior and I am very pleased. A productive if not rather chilly evening! I am enjoying the new camera!
